The Kayegbo Editorial Board has announced plans for a special award ceremony to commemorate three significant milestones: Ekiti Parapo at 140, Ekiti State at 30 and Kayegbo at 30.
The programme is powered by Chief Morakinyo Ogunniyi, Publisher of Kayegbo International and Amuludun of Okemesi Land.
The celebration is scheduled to take place on October 1, 2026 at the Afe Babalola Hall of Fame, Okemesi Tourism Village, Okemesi-Ekiti.
According to the organisers, the event will provide an opportunity to celebrate distinguished personalities who have made notable contributions in their respective professions and have demonstrated excellence and service within and beyond Ekiti.
The Kayegbo Editorial Board said it would roll out the red carpet for the honourees as part of activities marking the triple anniversary celebration.
Among the award categories announced for the event are the Ekiti Builder Leadership Award, Ekitiparapo Honours Award, Iconic Women of the Year and Special Recognition Awards.
The organisers described the initiative as an opportunity to recognise individuals whose accomplishments have brought honour to their communities and contributed to the development and advancement of society.
The awards are also expected to spotlight the contributions of women and other distinguished personalities across different fields, while celebrating leadership, community service and professional achievements.
The Kayegbo Editorial Board encouraged members of the public to anticipate the October 1 celebration, describing recognition from one’s home community as a particularly meaningful honour.
